Lorraine (Rosmus) Prukalski, 73, of Silcam Dr., Danbury, beloved wife of Eugene L. Prukalski, died at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, February 3rd, following a brief illness. She was born in Mocanaqua, PA on July 5, 1937, daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Lenkaitis) Rosmus.
Mrs. Prukalski was a longtime parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Parish and was a member of their Bible study group. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was happiest spending time with her family. She also loved to read.
In addition to her cherished husband of 50 years, Eugene, she will be sadly missed by her three sons, Michael Prukalski and his wife, Andrea of MA, Mark Prukalski and his wife, Carolyn of Danbury, and Thomas Prukalski and his wife, Karen of NY; her daughter, Jennifer Achilles and her husband, Steven of Danbury; her eleven grandchildren, Andrew, Sophie, Joseph, Natasha, Misha, Matthew, Kate and Nicole Prukalski, Daniel, Alexis, and Dylan Achilles. She is also survived by her two sisters, Bernadine Rosmus and Maryann Steber and her husband, Edward; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 7th at 10:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church. Cremation and interment will take place at the direction of the family.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00pm. Donations Information
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
