Obituary of Patricia Courtney

Patricia Courtney, 80, of Bridgewater passed away at Danbury Hospital March 19, 2023.  She was the loving wife of Joseph Courtney whom she now joins in heaven. 

Patricia was born November 4, 1942 in Bellshill, Scotland to the late Joseph and Bridget McCormack.  She worked for over 20 years as a real estate agent for Davis and Hoyt in Danbury. 

Patricia was a devoted parishioner of St Joseph Church in Brookfield and served as the parish secretary for many years.  She enjoyed TV, watching Law and Order, and loved a good British Comedy. 

Patricia will be sadly missed by her children: Paul Courtney and his wife Laura of New Milford, Joseph Courtney and his wife Laura of Bridgewater, and Angela Courtney of Thomaston; grandchildren: Michelle Fortin and her husband Alexander, Samantha Courtney and her partner Zak Bauer, Ryan Courtney, Katelyn Courtney, and Aidan Courtney Wilson.  In addition to her parents, Patricia was also predeceased by her siblings: Joseph, Moira, and Catherine.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at St Joseph Church in Brookfield.  Burial to follow in St Peter Cemetery, Danbury.  Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at the Brookfield Funeral Home, Brookfield.
