I first met Nancy when I began working at Schaghitcoke Middle School. I was fresh out of college and she became one of my work mentors. She was in many of my classes through the 8 years that I was at SMS. We shared many laughs and really proud moments together as our students succeeded. Nancy was always pushing the kids to do better and work harder. She gave me many tips along the way and I became a better teacher because of her. Her family was her world and I heard so much about all of you. She is gone way too soon but I hope you can take comfort in your memories with her.

I met Nancy when our daughters were in nursery school together. Stacy and Allison were playmates through elementary school. Nancy and I were playmates as well. She encouraged me to apply to SMS as a paraprofessional and we then worked together for 25+ years. She and I became president and vice-president for the paraprofessional union. She had a gift for not letting anything get by us during negotiations. She and I had many laughs together. I will always be thankful for our relationship. We shared our love for our kids and grandkids and spent hours on the phone talking. I loved making her laugh as her laughter was contagious. Losing such a force leaves a deep hole in your life but time and memories will bring a smile to your face. She will always be with you.

I first met Nancy at Schaghticoke and soon found out we lived one street apart! She had a good sense of humor and didn’t take her job lightly. Nancy had a way of connecting with the kids and getting them to succeed. She was most proud of her family! She spoke of them often and with much love. Then when the grandchildren came along she was in heaven! Just last week she was sharing pictures of the newest grand baby with me at the grocery store. I know she leaves a huge void in your lives but keep those memories of her close and know that she will always be a part of you.

I will miss you my childhood "2nd mom". I think I spent more time at your house than mine in the summers. All those hours playing in the pool with Stacey and sleepover fun :) You're gone too soon and it breaks my heart for your wonderful family ❤️

I have many fond memories of my times spent with Nancy at her house over the years as I was good friends with her daughter, Stacey. She was always very interested in my life throughout high school and college and we had some great discussions. She always made me feel at home when we came to visit, offering lots of snacks and drinks as well! Even after I moved to England I would come back to visit her and her husband and we kept in touch mainly via social media when I was in England. She was very interested in my own children too and we were so glad we got to visit Nancy in August 2022 after not being able to get to the USA for a few years. We are very saddened by the sudden loss of Nancy and are heartbroken for her family left behind. I know how much she loved her family and how much they are going to miss her.
