Our hearts are heavy as we all mourn the loss of our beloved older sister and Aunt

Erminia was born on October 18th, 1933, in Danbury, CT, daughter to the late Antonio and Grace Freda Cappiello.

After graduating from Danbury High School in 1952, Erminia applied her diligence and ability to connect with others to several employment pursuits, the most notable being her work as a switchboard operator followed by purchasing for Preferred Utilities in Danbury; a position she held for 45 years. She also enjoyed positions she held at the Roterphone Answering Service, Danbury Hospital and Jim Barberie’s Restaurant where she was revered by customers for many years. She was loved and respected by all.

Erminia was very dedicated to her family and was known for capturing family memories with photos. She seemed to always have a camera ready to memorialize special moments and important milestones for her large and loving family. In her youth, Erminia was an inspired singer and had been in a multitude of shows in many venues which focused on country western music. Singing country western music was another passion of Erminia’s life.
