Obituary of John Nick Nuzzi

John N. Nuzzi, 66, of Brookfield, CT, formerly of Woodbridge and Hamden, CT passed away on Friday January 28, 2022 due to health conditions.  He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carolyn Grove Nuzzi, his daughter Robin of Fort Lauderdale, FL, brother David of Los Angeles, CA and grandson Jonathan Register, Jr.

John graduated from Hamden High School 1973, the University of New Haven in 1979 with a BS in Business Management and the Conway School of Landscape Design in 1987 with a MALD in Landscape Design.

He owned and operated Nuzzi Landscape Contractors, a successful landscape design/build firm for 27 years from 1990 – 2017. He retired in 2017.

John will be remembered as a kind, generous man who loved helping others. He frequently served as a mediator and peacemaker, beginning when he was an adolescent and continuing throughout his entire life. He was also a fervent advocate for environmental protection and social justice. An avid fisherman, he was very active in the Housatonic Fly Fishermen’s Assn. and recently was active in New Milford’s Methodist Church.

There will be no public calling hours, funeral or burial services per John’s final wishes.
