Obituary of Rose Ellen Battistelli

Danbury - It is with great sadness that family of Rose Ellen Battistelli (Prizio) of Virginia, 90, formerly of Danbury, CT., announce that she passed away on October 24, 2021.

Rose Ellen graduated from Boston University. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Danbury, Connecticut for many years.  Rose Ellen worked for Liggett’s pharmacy as a bookkeeper for 31 years until they closed in 2004. She will be fondly remembered for spending time with family and friends who always appreciated her hospitality; she also loved to garden, which always gave her peace.

She is predeceased by her loving husbands E. George Battistelli and James Leach, her son Brian Battistelli, Sr. and  her grandson Brian Battistelli Jr. Rose Ellen leaves behind her three surviving children George Battistelli (Wendy) of Virginia, Michele Battistelli ( Heather) of Virginia, Charlene Mayo (Charles) of Massachusetts. Her grandchildren, George Battistelli (Kammie), Krystle Demas (Greg), Charles Mayo, Chandi Mills (Vincent), Michele Battistelli Jr., Jonathan Battistelli, Andrea Battistelli, Alex Perez and Galo Lopez . She always got a sparkle in her eye when she spent time with her five great grandchildren Alana, Caleb, Ava, Kye and Vincent Jr.

Rose Ellen’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday November 6, 2021 from 9:30 am. To 10:30 a.m. at the Cornell Memorial Home 247 White St. Danbury. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Wooster Cemetery in Danbury.
