Obituary of Frances K. Moran

Frances K. Moran, 97, beloved wife of Michael Moran for 75 years, passed away Sept. 27, 2021. She was born on Jan. 26, 1924 in Greensboro, North Carolina, the daughter of the late John and Kate Koleman.

She grew up on Carolina Beach, NC and met Mike at Ft. Bragg, NC during WWII where he was a soldier and she a clerk. They endured an overseas relationship and were married shortly after his return from the war. They settled in Danbury, CT and lived there for 35 years where she was a bookkeeper for 16 years at The Bargain World. They relocated to Sarasota, FL where she continued her bookkeeping career until retirement.

Her love for books took her on adventures around the world, but her family was her first priority. Truly a southern lady through and through!

Frances will be sadly missed by her husband Michael, her daughters Susan and her husband Floyd of Newtown, CT and Patricia Treadwell of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Trafford (Yvonne), Kyle (Angie), Lindsey (Dan), Chip (Tanya) and two great grandchildren Banx and Bentley. She was predeceased by her sister Ann Ennis and son-in-law Clyde Treadwell.
