Obituary of Karen Ann Dascano

Karen A. (Kroha) Dascano, 72, of Danbury, cherished wife of Frank J. Dascano, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on Easter Sunday morning, April 4, 2021.  She was born in Norwalk on December 18, 1948, daughter of the late Vincent and Catherine (Howley) Kroha.  She was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1967. She was a longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Danbury.

She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, who truly lived life to the fullest.  She loved to travel, had a passion for birds, and loved games and puzzles.  In her years as a young mother, she opened her home as a daycare, allowing her to be home with her children.  She eventually went on to work as a teacher’s aide for the Danbury school system for 33 years, and had a great impact on many students.

Karen enjoyed volunteering a Sacred Heart Church, in the community was a Girl Scout Leader for many years.  She also enjoyed baking, crafts, and ceramics.  Her happiest times were spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Karen will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

In addition to her devoted husband of 51 years, Frank, she leaves her two children, Vincent J. Dascano and his wife, Denise, and Carrie Ann Dascano; and her three grandchildren, Kendra, Anthony and Kanara Miriam Dascano; and many more beloved family members and friends.
