Obituary of Richard Chirdo
New Fairfield – Mr. Richard Chirdo, age 67, of New Fairfield, died Saturday February 1, 2020 at the Pope John Paul Center in Danbury. He was the husband of Diane T. (Ulisse) Chirdo.
Mr. Chirdo was born June 19, 1952 in New York, N.Y. son of Elizabeth (Murano) Chirdo of Elmwood Park, N.J. and the late Leonard Chirdo. He was the former owner of Bill’s Auto Body in Danbury and was a communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in New Fairfield. He loved cars, especially Corvettes.
In addition to his wife Diane and his mother Elizabeth, Mr. Chirdo is survived by his sons: Richard Chirdo and his wife Valerie of Danbury and Christopher Chirdo of New Fairfield, his brother: Leonard Chirdo and his wife Beatrice of Elmwood Park, N.J., his grandchildren: Richard, Vincent and Colette, three nieces and a nephew.
Mr. Chirdo’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Friday February 7, 2020 from 5 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 8, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church in New Fairfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
