Obituary of Christine Ann Killiany
Christine Ann (Novella) Killiany, 99 of Danbury, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday August 6, 2019 surrounded by her loving family in her daughter's home in Southbury.
Christine was born February 20, 1920 in Danbury to the late John and Vincenza Novella. She attended Danbury Schools and worked at Risdon Manufacturing eventually retiring from Sears after many years of service. She now joins her husband, Joseph John Killiany who passed away in 2001.
Christine was a very loving, caring, selfless person always doing for others never expecting anything in return. She enjoyed cooking Italian dishes for her family, playing bingo and visiting the casino to play the slot machines. In her later years, Christine enjoyed participating in the activities at the Senior Center. She loved her family dearly and spent time every day talking on the phone with them.
Christine will be sadly missed by her children Ann Geisler of Southbury and Joseph Killiany of Danbury along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Christine was predeceased by her siblings: Joseph Novella, Sr., Richard Novella, Anthony Novella, Sr. , Michael Novella , Russell Novella, Helen Pastina, Anna Sacco, Mary Stavola, Rose Lostocco, Frances Tykarsky, and Dorothy Scozzafava and their spouses.
A Graveside Service will be held Friday August 9, 2019 at 1pm in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury, CT.
