Obituary of Antoinette Carlo

Antoinette M. (Brunetti) Carlo died peacefully at Danbury Hospital, Danbury, Ct. on Dec. 2, 2018 at the age of 85. Known as Toni, she was the wife of the late Frederick Carlo.  She was born in Danbury, Ct. on April 18, 1933, daughter of the late Pasquale and Louise (Leo) Brunetti. She was a graduate of Danbury High School, class of 1951, and was a life-long parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Danbury.

She held many jobs, most notably, she was the secretary for The Campfire Girls of Fairfield County and she finished her career in an administrative role at The Daughters of Isabella International Headquarters in New Haven, Ct.

Antoinette was most proud of her affiliation with The Campfire Girls of Fairfield County, her life-long membership with The Colona Lodge (Order Sons of Italy of America), where she held the office of President, and her life-long membership with the Daughters of Isabella, where she held many offices, including Local Regent, State Regent, and International Director.

She loved the Yankees and attending the Daughters of Isabella conventions.  She was devoted to her Faith, her family, and charity work.

She will be sadly missed by her son, James Carlo and his wife, Antonella, and her daughter, Annette Carlo; her granddaughter, Arianna Carlo; her sister, Rose Brunetti; and her son-in-law, Charlie Williams and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Fredrick, she was predeceased by her daughter, Sharon Carlo; brothers, Donald and Modesto; and her sister, Marie Critelli.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Hancock Hall for their compassionate care of Antoinette.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 6th at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Church, Danbury.  Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
