Obituary of Adelina Pesayco Jardeleza

Adelina Pesayco Jardeleza, 96, of Danbury, wife of the late Cesar Sandoval Jardeleza, Sr., died peacefully, surrounded by her family, at home on Tuesday, November 13th.  She was born in the Philippines on October 22, 1922, daughter of the late Juan and Segundina (Sildora) Pesayco.  She worked as a grade school teacher and as a businesswoman in the Philippines before making her home in the U.S. 

 

Mrs. Jardeleza was a longtime parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church in Danbury and worked at Grolier for many years. 

 

She will be remembered for her loving nature and her ability to see the best in others as well as loving to sew, sing, and playing the slots at the casino.  Her proudest accomplishment was raising her ten children, and seeing that they all be college educated. 

 

She will be sadly missed by her children, Esther Aurelio, Orlando Jardeleza (Mary Ann), Edna Salvaleon, Cesar Jardeleza, Jr. (Jessie), Denia Pacete (John), Arleen Ducusin (Romulo), Jessy  Jardeleza (Maria), Mary Grace Pacete (Charle), Adelce Delfin (Elijah) and Victorio Jardeleza (Jacqueline); her twenty-six grandchildren; and twenty-two great grandchildren.   She is also survived by three sisters: Priscilla Pesayco Higa, Lolita Pesayco Dimaclid,  and Minerva Pesayco San Antonio as well as many nieces and nephews.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Nov. 19th at  11:00 am at St. Gregory the Great Church.  Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Sunday between the hours of 2:00pm – 5:00pm.
