Obituary of Charles Speruzzi, Jr.

Brookfield – Mr. Charles Speruzzi, Jr., age 75, of Brookfield, died Monday  October 1, 2018 at his home.

    Mr. Speruzzi was born June 11, 1943 in New Rochelle, New York, son of the late Charles Speruzzi, Sr. He was retired after working for many years as a mechanic and supervisor at CL&P and also formerly worked for over 50 years at Knapp Tree Service. He enjoyed target shooting, antiques, car shows and hot rods and was a member of the N.R.A. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

    Mr. Speruzzi is survived by his children: Joseph Speruzzi and his wife Cherie of Gwinn, MI, Charles “Chuck” Speruzzi of Naugatuck and Ronald Speruzzi and his wife Madeline of Waterbury, his grandchildren: Charissa Speruzzi, Joseph Speruzzi, Jr, Scott Speruzzi, Angelica Speruzzi, Angel Alvarez, Frankie Alvarez, Shantel Alvarez, Annette Speruzzi, Leon Speruzzi and Ralphy Petteway, and his great grandchildren:  Jaedon, Charlotte, Lean, Leon Jr., Mariela and Laylani.  He was predeceased by his daughter: Donna Speruzzi.

    Mr. Speruzzi’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 6, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Roman Catholic Church in Brookfield. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ridgefield.
