Obituary of Marjorie Helen Bohan
Marjorie Helen Bohan, age 94, passed away on Tuesday July 24, 2018 at her home in New Preston, CT. Marjorie was born in Norwalk on August 20, 1923 to the late Frederick and Florence Quaas. She was the devoted wife to the late, Arthur J. Bohan.
Prior to her move to New Preston to be closer to family, Marjorie was a long time resident of Danbury working in the family business Bohan Curtain and Linen and later retiring after many years of service to the City of Danbury in their Risk Management Department. Marjorie enjoyed spending time with her sister Ruth, following UCONN Huskies Basketball, Professional Golf, and doing crossword puzzles. She also looked forward to dining out and travelling with Arthur in her younger years.
Marjorie will be sadly missed by her son Roger Bohan and his wife, Lynn of New Preston; her sister Ruth Smigala and her daughter, Cheryl McDowell of Bristol; Grandchildren: Roger Bohan and his wife Christy, Keith Bohan and his wife Ellen, Chad Bohan and his wife Kristia, Branden Bohan and his wife Alecia, Brittany Bohan, Chelsea Bohan and Hunter Austin Bohan; and her Great Grandchildren: Roger III, Logan, Davin, Chase, Brodie, Cody, Jaxon, Grace, Liberty and Leola. In addition to her husband Arthur, Marjorie was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Edward Smigala.
A Funeral Service will be held at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St. in Danbury on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 11:00am. Family and friends may visit from 10:00am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow in St. Peter Cemetery in Danbury.
