Obituary of Daniel Patrick Webster
Brookfield – Mr. Daniel P. Webster “Papa Dan”, age 72, of Jamaica, New York, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 11, 2018.
Papa Dan was born February 25, 1946 in Birmingham, England, son of the late Donald Webster and Christine Fudecki. He was retired from Mendon Trucking and Leasing where he worked as a Parts Manager and also formerly worked for many years as an Office Manager for Northwestern Mutual Insurance. He was happily retired and was known for his great sense of humor. His kindness and graciousness, he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He enjoyed traveling abroad, record collecting, spending time on the softball field and walking. He loved animals, eating ice cream with his grandson Erich, especially rainbow sherbet, and most of all traveling to see his family in Connecticut. He had a kind and generous heart and contributed regularly to St. Joseph’s Catholic Charities and Feed the Children. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Papa Dan is survived by his daughter: Melisa “Webby” Kimball and her husband Jeff of Brookfield, his former wife: Jan Naismith of Danbury, his grandchildren: Erich Reichert, Nick Kimball, Michelle Kimball and Ashley Kimball, and his great grandson Landon Shaw.
A celebration of “Papa Dan’s” Life will be held on Friday July 20, 2018 at 5 p.m. at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield. His family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday July 20, 2018 from 4 p.m.-6 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
