Obituary of Carol B. Collins
Carol B. Collins, 84, of Brookfield, beloved wife of John F. Collins, Jr., died peacefully at her home on Monday, July 9th. She was born in New Haven on December 15, 1933, daughter of the late Thomas T. and Isabelle (Inkster) Berryman. She was a graduate of Hamden High School, Class of 1951.
Carol worked for SNET in New Haven and later worked as an administrative assistant for the Superintendent of Schools for the Brookfield School System. She ultimately retired from Union Carbide in 1998.
Some of her happiest moments were spent traveling to the Caribbean, attending the symphony, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, John, she will be sadly missed by her two sons, Paul T., and John F. Collins III, both of Brookfield; and her four grandchildren.
There are no formal services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, 4 Hamilton Ave, New Haven, CT 06511.
