Obituary of Constance Louise Jennings

Danbury - Mrs. Constance L. (Howe) Jennings, age 80, of Danbury, died Thursday July 5, 2018 in Danbury of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was the widow of Richard D. Jennings III.

Mrs. Jennings was born May 23, 1938 in Jamaica, New York, daughter of the late George Stewart and Catherine Louise (Thompson) Howe. She was retired as the Business Manager at J and B Service Company, which she and her husband owned for many years, and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danbury. She was a member of the Danbury Garden Club, a former president of the PTO at South Street School, and a former member and president of the Deaconate at the First Congregational Church of Danbury. She was her son Douglas' biggest advocate at Ability Beyond and volunteered bringing food to shut ins.

Mrs. Jennings is survived by her children: Richard D. Jennings IV and his wife Kathleen of Bethel, Catherine Parisi and her husband Peter Parisi, Jr. of Bethel, Marjorie Schaefer and her husband Neil of Danbury, Douglas Stewart Jennings of Newtown, Irene Maier and her husband Darrell of Danbury, Constance "Liz" Grace and her husband Tom of Danbury, and Susan Mills and her husband Frederick Mills, Jr. of Danbury, her siblings: Catherine Palardy and her husband Robert of Danbury, Barbara Krebs of Southbury, Mildred Hansen and her husband Thomas of Dunwoody, GA and John Howe of Dunwoody, GA, her grandchildren: Daniel Jennings, Emily Donley, Peter Parisi III, Betsy Cummings, Stacy Freda, Irene Bean, Tucker Schaefer, Thomas Maier, Heather Grace, Jack Grace, Wyatt Mills and Lily Mills, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Jennings' family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday July 8, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m.at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury. Funeral services will be held on Monday July 9, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 18 Clapboard Ridge Road, Danbury. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Wooster Cemetery in Danbury.
