Obituary of Nancy Jean Marie Currier
Danbury – Mrs. Nancy Jean Marie (Barriere) Currier, age 90, of Danbury, passed away peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Saturday June 23, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Wendel Ezra Currier.
Mrs. Currier was born April 7, 1928 in Leominster, MA, daughter of the late Edward D. and Lena (Goguen) Barriere. She was retired after working for many years as a set up operator at Barden Corporation and was a communicant of St. Joseph Roman Cathoilc Church in Danbury. She enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw puzzles and playing Scrabble.
Mrs. Currier is survived by her children: Sandra Enright of Danbury, Allen Currier and his wife Karen of Bethel and Lynn Currier Cleary of Danbury, her son in law: Chris Finkle of Brookfield, 8 grandchildren: Candace Moniz, Jennifer Cefaloni, Melissa Rodriguez, Susan Alves, Samantha Enright, Amanda Currier, Nicholas Cabral and Allen Currier, Jr., 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Wendel, Mrs. Currier is predeceased by her daughter: Wendy Finkle, two sons in law: Roy Enright and Joseph Cleary, her brother: Paul Barriere and her sister in law: Mary Lou Barriere.
Mrs. Currier’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Wednesday June 27, 2018 from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Danbury on Wednesday June 27, 2018 at 10:15 A.M. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery in Danbury.
