Obituary of Annette Antoinette Girolamo
Danbury - Mrs. Annette A. (Destito) Girolamo, age 73, of Danbury, died Tuesday June 5, 2018 at Danbury Hospital. She was the loving wife of Santi V. Girolamo.
Mrs. Girolamo was born October 8, 1944 in White Plains, New York daughter of the late Dominick and Antoinette (Orzio) Destito. She worked for many years for the Danbury School Lunch Program, retiring in 1989. She was an extremely creative person who enjoyed doing ceramics, cooking, gardening, and playing Scrabble with her grandchildren. But most of all taking care of her family and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Her Husband, children, and her grandchildren (lovies) were her life. She loved her whole family.
In addition to her husband of 53 years, Santi Vincent, Mrs. Girolamo is survived by her son: Robert F. Girolamo of Danbury, her daughter: Gina Marie Romano and her husband Pasquale of Bethel, her brother: Dominick Destito and his wife Fran of CA, her sister: Margaret McClain of CA, her grandchildren: Mia Giavanna, Briana Marie, and Joseph Anthony Romano and 11 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Destito and her sister: Gloria Destito.
Mrs. Girolamo's family will receive family and friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Sunday June 10, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Bethel on Monday June 11, 2018 at 12:00 noon. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
