Obituary of Hazel Marie Lombardo
Hazel (Wright) Lombardo, 89, of Danbury, beloved wife of the late Edward L. Lombardo, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 7, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Sea Isle, NJ on June 8, 1928, daughter of the late Walter and Cecile (Mumford) Wright.
Hazel was a longtime, devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danbury.
She enjoyed working as a nurse’s aid for Danbury Hospital and the former Mediplex.
She will be sadly missed by her five children, Barbara Lombardo, Allen, John and his wife, Katrina, Lewis and his wife, Krissy, and James Lombardo; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren. And her long time care giver.
She was predeceased by her son Edward L Lombardo jr , Her great granddaughter Antonia C Notaro and daughter-in-law, Connie Lombardo Funeral Services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 18 Clapboard Ridge Road, Danbury, on Thursday, April 12th at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Wednesday between the hours of 5:00 to 8:00pm.
