Obituary of Vincent G. Inglese
Danbury - Mr. Vincent G. Inglese, 83, of Danbury, beloved husband, of 58 years to Sarah "Sally" Carlucci (Rushworth) Inglese, died Thursday, March 22, 2018 at his home after a long battle with Prostate Cancer. He died, peacefully, surrounded by his family members.
Mr. Inglese was born October 5, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late Bruno and Mary (Vezza) Inglese. He was retired after working for over twenty-five years as a Corrections Officer and Unit Manager for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He was a communicant of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Brookfield and St. Joseph Church in Danbury. He is a long-standing member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 2069. He enjoyed doing crossstitch, drawing, telling jokes, cooking, and volunteering for BINGO at St. Peter's and St. Marguerite's churches. He was a kind, gentle, giving man who loved everyone and was loved by everyone and, also, had a special place in his heart for animals. Vinnie was affectionately known as "Uncle Vinnie" to those who knew him.
Mr. Inglese proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force as a Heavy Equipment Operator from January 1953 to January 1961 when he was Honorably Discharged.
In addition to his wife Sally, Mr. Inglese is survived by his son Gary T. Rushworth of Danbury, his grandchildren Mark E. Rushworth and his wife Chrissy of Hopewell Junction, N.Y. and Sarah K. (Rushworth) Hickman and her husband Christopher Hickman of Independence, West Virginia, their Mother Beth W. Rushworth of Baltimore, MD, his great granddaughter- Elizabeth Jean Hickman his sister Carmela "Ronnie" Rubelsky of Scottsdale, AZ, his brother in law Blase Carlucci, Jr and his wife Connie (Carley) Carlucci of Brookfield, and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his sister in law: Catherine (Carlucci) Korcsmaros, and two brothers in law John Korcsmaros and George Rubelsky.
When asked what his favorite job was, he said, “Being a Husband to Sally.” He will be sorely missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday March 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Brookfield. Entombment will be in the St. Peter Cemetery Mausoleum in Danbury. Mr. Inglese's family will receive family and friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St. Danbury on Monday March 26, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m.
