Obituary of Bentley LaMontagne
Bentley LaMontagne, 98, formerly of Brookfield, husband of the late Marie (Bachar) LaMontagne, died at his home in Cary, NC on January 25, 2018. He was born in Springfield, MA on May 4, 1919, son of the late Napoleon and Florence (Pace) LaMontagne.
Bentley was a Veteran of World War II, proudly serving with the United States Air Force. He enjoyed a 39 year career as a flight engineer with Pan American World Airways. He was a member of the Pan Am Pioneers and an honorary member of the Chinese Air Force.
He was past member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Brookfield and a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Cary, NC.
He will be sadly missed by his two sons, Bentley, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Hilton Head, SC, and Richard of Tinton Falls, NJ; his seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Marie, he was predeceased by his brother, David; and his daughter, Marie Ann Abbene Sayre.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul Episcopal Church on Monday, April 9th at 12:00pm. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery with Military Honors.
