Obituary of Richard Kenneth Lange

Dear Richard, Mom and Dad love you very much; we are so proud of you.  You are a special gift from God.  We looked at you at times and say we are so happy you are ours.  The day you were born we walked into a wonderful world we never knew existed; we felt truly blessed.  Everyone always fell in love with your smile and your gentle way.   God, please watch over Richard and keep him in the palm of your hand.

Richard K. Lange, age 30, of Brookfield died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 12, 2016.  He was the son of Richard H. and Victoria (Felmer) Lange. 

Richard was born in Danbury and was raised in Brookfield; he was a member of the 2004? graduating class of Brookfield H.S.  Richard was an "A" student at Naugatuck Valley Community College pursuing his studies in Criminal Justice.  He enjoyed being involved in student life and served as a senator in the Student Government Assoc.,  he was a member of the Hispanic Student Union Club and was in the process of forming an Astronomy Club.  He was currently working as a receptionist at NVCC.

Previously, he worked at Allied Barton and Securitas Security Services as a security guard.  He worked for the Town of Brookfield as an art assistant for the summer camp program.

In addition to his parents, Richard is survived by: Aunt Marlene Fraticeli, Uncle Bill and Aunt Joanne Felmer, Uncle Brett and Aunt Kathy Felmer; cousins: Michael Fraticeli and his son Jason, Nicholas (Heather)Fraticeli and their son Chase; Billy (Tara) Felmer; and Brandon Felmer.  He was loved by his family and will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 17 at 10:00AM at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church,  138 Candlewood Lake Rd., Brookfield. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 16 from 5:00-7:00PM at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road.
