Obituary of Mark Alan Morosky

Mark Morosky, 38, of Bethel, beloved husband of Cyndi (Calandrino) Morosky, died at Danbury Hospital on Sunday, August 6th, from cardiac arrest as a result of diabetes complications.  He was surrounded by the love of his family at the time of his death.  He was born in Danbury on February 3, 1979, son of Patricia (Nelson) Morosky and the late Alan Morosky.  He was a graduate of Bethel High School, Class of 1997, and completed technical school with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 30. 

Mark worked as an operating engineer for IUOE Local 30 at RBS in Stamford.  He was an active and proud Local 30 member for 15 years. 

A devoted father, he was active in the St. Monica’s Homeschool Group and their Blue Knights Club. 

In addition to his wife of 14 years and companion of 23 years, Cyndi, he will be sadly missed by his children, Taylor-Rose and Joseph Morosky; his mother, Patricia; his brother, Scott Morosky; and sister, Amanda Richardson and her husband, Josh; his inlaws, “Dad & Mom” Tony and Gail Calandrino, Jennifer and Joe Fuller, Samantha and Joe Edelmann and “Mama” Rosalia Calandrino.  He is also survived by his grandfather, Richard Nelson; his aunt, Debbie Vecchiarino and her husband, Tom; cousins, Dana Scherer and family, and Greg Vecchiarino; as well as his nieces and nephews, Taylor, Alyssa, Nora, Branndon, Noah, Cash and Finley. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 14th at 1:30pm at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Danbury.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel. 

The family will receive guests at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, August 13th between the hours of 1:00 and 5:00pm. 

In keeping with Mark’s love and devotion to his family, memorial contributions may be made in his memory, toward the children’s continued care and education to “Mark Morosky Family Memorial Fund,” Wells Fargo, 1 Eagle Rd, Danbury, CT 06810
