Obituary of Jennie Delores Rapp
Jennie (Gervasoni) Rapp, 90, of Danbury, died peacefully at Laurel Ridge in Ridgefield on Monday, July 3rd. She was born in Danbury on August 21, 1926, daughter of the late Baptista and Angelina (Fiore) Gervasoni. She was a graduate of Danbury High School.
Jennie worked as a dietician for Duracell for many years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the VFW. Jennie was a Gold Star Mother who lost her son, Robert in the Vietnam War.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Janice Hills of North Carolina; her seven grandchildren, Deana Parker, Frederick Berry Jr., Robert Meyer, John Meyer, Amanda Rapp-Smith, Victoria Mead, and John Stuart. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her four children, Frederick A. Berry, Sr. USMC, Robert E. Berry, USMC, John C. Rapp, US Navy, and Victoria Lynn Mead.
Funeral services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Monday, July 10th at 11:30am. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the funeral home between 10:30 and 11:30am on Monday.
