Obituary of Frances Critelli Fabiano
Frances Critelli Fabiano, 94, of Danbury passed away on Thursday June 8, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 4, 1923 in Danbury a daughter to Luigi and Catherine Critelli. Frances was the widow of Thomas Fabiano, Sr.
Frances's life started in Danbury. As a child, she returned back to the parents hometown of Gimigliano, Italy. In 1954 she returned to the United States with her oldest child. A year later her husband and seven other children would reunite with her in the United States. Frances had two more children a few years later.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, tag sales and her extensive doll collection of over 200 dolls. Her life was filled with love of family and friends, she was happiest spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Frances will be missed by her loving children: Tina Fancher, Louis Fabiano, Catherine Meeks, Maria Cabral, Rose Casali, Thomas Fabiano, Peppy Fabiano, Franca Townsend, Gloria Woodhouse and Lucy Gregory; her sister Armeda of Italy; 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Frances was predeceased by her brothers: Valentino, Napoleon, Frank and Thomas Critelli and her sister, Maria.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Tuesday June 13, 2017 at the Church of St. Peter, 104 Main St., Danbury. Burial to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Danbury. Friends may visit on Monday June 12, 2017 from 6-8pm at the Cornell Memorial Home 247 White St., Danbury.
The family would like to extend a warm appreciation to the ladies from Almost Family and from Hospice who took such wonderful care of our mom.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Frances' honor to Regional Hospice and Palliative Care Center for Comfort Care & Healing, 30 Milestone Rd., Danbury, CT 06810.
