Obituary of Edward G. Schreiber
Edward G. Schreiber, age 88, of Brewster, formerly of Hastings on Hudson, NY died on March 30th at Putnam Ridge, Brewster. He was the husband of the late Jennie (Marconi) Schreiber.
Edward was born July 21, 1928 in Flushing, NY the son of the late Edward and Madeline(Kramer) Schreiber. He had served in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force, and was employed as a mover with several companies in the Westchester area over the years. Edward was a resident of Hastings on Hudson for over 55 years prior to moving to Brewster in 2014., In Hastings on Hudson, he was a parishioner of Saint Matthew Church, and the former owner of Farragut Market. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He had an avid interest in WWII history.
Edward is survived by his two daughters: Cheryl Macioce and her husband Daniel of Brookfield, and Jeanette Schreiber of Danbury, one sister: Madeline Delgado and her husband Joseph of Houston, TX, brother in law: Nicholas Marchioni and sister in law: Mary Dominelli, along with grandchildren: Jennifer Forgione, Jessica Kramer, Daniel Macioce, Laura Gentile, Meghan Gentile, Anthony Gentile Jr., and great grandchildren: Alyson Forgione, Rose Forgione, Michael Kramer, Jacob Kramer, as well as several nieces and nephews. Edward was predeceased by his sister Muriel Worster.
Committal services with military honors will take place on Thursday April 6th at the Mount Hope Cemetery Garden Mausoleum, Hastings on Hudson, NY at 11:00am.
The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield on Wednesday April 5th from 5 thru 8pm.
