Obituary of Elizabeth Court

Elizabeth Court, age 83, of Brookfield, passed peacefully on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Bethel Health Care. She was the wife of the late Alfred Court. She was born in Cooperstown, NY on July 9, 1933, a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Luther) Kiley; she was raised in Sandy Creek, New York. She lived most of her life with her husband and son in Mount Vernon, NY. She retired from Consumers Union where she was employed as a bookkeeper. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Elizabeth is survived by her son, Christopher Court and his wife, Kathleen of Brookfield; her beloved granddaughters: Juliana Court of Hillsboro, Oregon; Katherine and Christina Court of Brookfield; and her sister: Helen Clark of Sandy Creek, NY. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions in Elizabeth's memory may be made to Bethel Health Care, 13 Park Lawn Dr, Bethel, CT 06801. A Prayer Service will be held at 11:30 am Friday, December 30, 2016, at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Rd., Brookfield. The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 and from 6:00-8:00 pm.
