Obituary of Christine Clara Kaeser

Christine Clara Kaeser January 03, 1926 - September 15, 2004 Christine C. Kaeser, 77, of Coolidge Street, New Fairfield, died at Danbury Hospital on Wednesday, September 15th. She was born in Danbury on January 3, 1926, daughter of the late Frank W. and Clara May (Gerstenmaier) Kaeser. She was a graduate of Danbury High School, class of 1943. Chrisy worked for Barden Corporation for more than forty years and played shortstop for the Local 10 Softball Team and for the Barden Royals . An active member of the Danbury Women's Softball League, she was honored by the Old Timers for her 50 years of membership. She was the League Treasurer until her passing. She also enjoyed membership in the Stamp Club and Coin Club. She will be sadly missed by her family as well as her many friends in the softball league. Chrisy is survived by her two brothers, Frank C. Kaeser of East Hartford, and Jacob W. Kaeser of New Fairfield; her four sisters, Ruth G. Hawley of New Fairfield, Janet L. Pesente of Danbury, Evelyn K. Joudy of New Fairfield, and Jeanne A. Washburn of Belleview, CO. She is also survived by her beloved thirteen nieces, two nephews, seven grandnieces, 12 grandnephews, and one great grandnephew. She was predeceased by her niece, Jocelyn Joudy in 1992. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Congregational Church of New Fairfield on Sunday, September 19th at 2:00pm. Burial in Mountain View Cemetery will follow. The family will receive friends on Saturday between the hours of 4 and 7:00pm at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury.
