Farlin "John" Hodge Johnson

Farlin "John" Hodge Johnson, age 79, of New Milford died at Danbury Hospital on Monday, June 6, 2011. He was the husband of the late Jean Ann Johnson.
He was born in Valley Creek, Tennessee on June 9, 1931, a son of the late Frank and Parmalee (Hatfield) Johnson. He served as an Army Sergeant in the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Imported Cars of Greenwich where he was employed for more than 25 years as the Vice President and General Manager. John enjoyed golfing and boating and spending time with his grandchildren. Those who knew John called him a "True Gentleman".
John is survived by 3 sons: Tim Johnson and his wife, Linda of Norwalk; John Johnson and his wife, Dianne, of Athens, GA; and Michael Johnson and his wife, Terry, of Brookfield; and 5 grandchildren: Brett, Kelly, Kevin, Katie and Shawn. He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. Funeral Information
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Valley Presbyterian Church, 21 W. Whisconier Rd, Brookfield. Burial in Maple Shade Cemetery, Ridgefield will follow. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00pm at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury. Donations Information
