Ellen Hohenshelt, 96, formerly of Jackson Heights, NY, beloved wife of the late Stewart Hohenshelt, passed away on Monday March 11, 2013 at Pope John Paul II Center in Danbury. She was born on August 7, 1916 in Alstead, New Hampshire, daughter of the late John Martin and Emma (Kalegrousurko) Sonosky.
Ellen was the Vice President of sales and marketing for the Paige Company in New York City for approx. 30 years, when she decided to retire and spend time with her grandchildren. also after her retirement she sewed for the Cancer fund and took spanish classes in order to keep up with the ever changing Jackson Hgts. She is survived by her son, Alan and his wife Pam Hohenshelt of Brookfield Ct.; a daughter in law, Diane Hohenshelt of Centereach, NY: three grandchildren, Lisa and her husband Robert Konik of Yaphank NY; Steven and his wife Melissa, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. & Stewart Hohenshelt of Brookfield, CT and four great grandchildren, Jessica & Ally Konick, Alicia &Paige Hohenshelt.
In addition to her husband Stewart and son Edward , she is predeceased by all her brothers and sisters. Funeral Information
A Service will be held on Thursday March 14, 2013 at 11 am at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, Ct. Friends and family may call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm. A Burial memorial will be held at the convenience of the family. Donations Information
