Ruth E. (Ticehurst) Hatch, 90, of Brookfield passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 18th. Ruth was born on February 27, 1921 in Beacon, NY to William and Estella (White) Ticehurst.
Ruth attended Bethel schools and graduated from Bethel High School in 1938. Upon her marriage to Daniel S. Hatch in 1941 the couple moved to Brookfield. Her loves included family, friends and music. She was the founding member of the County Organ Club. Ruth was employed by Fienson's Department Store early on and later worked at Eagle Pencil Co. for 18 years.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Daniel; her sons, William Hatch of Brookfield and Kenneth Hatch and his wife Patricia of Hebron, NY; her granddaughter, Amanda Fuller and her husband David of Bethel; her sister Esther Shanley and several nieces and nephews. Ruth is predeceased by her son Alan Hatch. Funeral Information
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 24th at St. Paul Episcopal Church of Brookfield. Burial will be in the spring in Central Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM on Monday, January 23rd at Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Rd., Brookfield. Donations Information
