Obituary of Veronica Ann Glaser

Veronica Ann Glaser August 04, 1914 - November 29, 2003 Veronica Ann Glaser, 89, of Deer Hill Drive, Danbury, died in Danbury Hospital on Saturday, November 29th, 2003. She was the wife of the late Irving G. Glaser. She was born in New York, New York on August 4, 1914, daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Sullivan) Leahy. She was a graduate of Newtown High School in Corona, New York, and attended Hunter College majoring in Business. Veronica enjoyed spending time with her family and was proud of her Irish Heritage. She also enjoyed the New York Yankees Baseball Team. She is survived by her 2 sons, Robert J. and his wife Dale Glaser of New Milford, and Richard F. and his wife Alana Glaser of New Milford; 3 daughters, Marilyn A. and her husband Frank Avallone of Guilford, Diane F. and her husband Nicholas Cappiello of Danbury, Catherine E. and her husband Gary Jordan of Danbury; 5 sisters, Mary O'Shea of Dumont NJ, Irene Cozier of North Massapequa NY, Catherine Canonica of Dumont NJ, Theresa Bouley of Stoney Point NY, Patricia Meyer of Poughkeepsie NY; and 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 3 sisters, Helen Nelson, Rita Buckley, and Margaret McGinley and predeceased by 2 brothers, Harold Leahy and John Leahy. Funeral Information Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Church, Main Street, Danbury on Wednesday, December 3rd at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. Friends may call at Cornell Memorial Home on Tuesday, December 2nd between the hours of 3 and 8 p.m.
