Obituary of Harriet Fox

Harriet (Chapman) Fox July 29, 1915 - July 09, 2004 Harriet (Chapman) Fox, 88, of Dogwood Lane, Danbury, died at Laurel Ridge Rehabilitation Center, Ridgefield, on Friday, July 9th. She was born in Watertown, Connecticut on July 29, 1915 , daughter of the late Howard and Mabel (Kott) Chapman . She attended and graduated from Danbury Schools . On September 4, 1938 she married the late Llewellyn Fox. Mrs. Fox spent most of her life in the Brookfield area. Mrs. Fox worked as the bookkeeper for Feinsons, a clothing store, on Main Street, Danbury, for many years. She was a member of the Congregational Church of Brookfield where she was a deaconess and member of the church choir. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who gave generously of herself to her family. She was lovingly known as "Bopmom" to her family. Mrs Fox was a member of the Choral Art Society, and an active leader in the 4-H. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling with friends. She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Carol Fox of El Cajun, CA, and Marylou Hebert and her husband, Jerry, of Redding; her two granddaughters, Suzanne Hebert and Aly Irizarry and her husband, Marcus, all of Danbury; and her great grandson, Christian Irizarry. Funeral Information A Memorial Service will be held at the Congregational Church of Brookfield on Friday, July 16th at 2:00pm. Cremation and interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
