Obituary of John F. Ferraro

John F. Ferraro June 26, 1916 - June 07, 2005 John F. Ferraro, age 88, of Danbury died on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of the late Marie Follis. Mr. Ferraro was born in Greenwich on June 26, 1916, a son of the late Samuel and Mary (Judice) Ferraro. A Greenwich resident for 72 years, he graduated from Greenwich High School. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He moved to Danbury in 1999 living in Pope John Paul II Center for Health for the past two years. John lived life to the fullest! He was an avid golfer, enjoyed ballroom and tap dancing and loved living in Florida. Most of all, he was a devoted family man taking care of his mother, Mary, until her death at the age of 99. He is survived by a daughter, Donna Fujitan, with whom he made his home, and her husband Tom of Danbury; two sisters: Florence Frangione of Lady Lake, FL; Filomenia Severo of Greenwich, CT; 3 grandchildren: Paul Fujitani and his wife, Kelli; Tom Fujitani and his fiancé Summer Cole; and Tracy Glessner and her husband John; 4 great grandchildren: Ryan & Ty Fujitani, Emma and Catherine Glessner. Funeral Information A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich with full Military Honors. Following the committal service, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at 12:00 noon at St. Gregory the Great Church, Danbury. There are no calling hours.
