Obituary of William Frederick Fenwick

William Frederick Fenwick Jr. February 06, 1921 - December 06, 2003 William Frederick Fenwick, Jr., 82, of Route 37, New Fairfield, devoted husband of Jean (Define) Fenwick, died on Saturday, December 6th at Danbury Hospital with is family by his side. He was born in Jersey City, NJ., February 6, 1921, son of the late William F., Sr., and Frances (Wallick) Fenwick. He graduated from Brooklyn Technical College in 1940. Mr. Fenwick made his home in the community in 1955. He worked as an electrician for Preferred Utilities in Danbury for 38 years. He was a member of the New Fairfield Congregational Church and enjoyed playing in their Bowling League. In his early years he enjoyed playing hockey and softball, and later coached Little League in New Fairfield. He had a life long interest in animals and was a member of the National Herpetology Society. Besides his wife, Jean, he is survived by a son, William F. Fenwick, III and his wife, Diane, of Danbury; a daughter, Suzanne E. Petro and her husband, Michael of Windsor Locks; a granddaughter, Robin L. Veit and her husband, John of Windsor Locks; and three great grandchildren, Jessica, Alex and James. He is also survived by a brother, Clifford Fenwick of Florida and sister, Ann Claire McNutt of Louisiana; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Congregational Church of New Fairfield on Tuesday, December 9th at 2:00pm. Reverend Patricia Nicholas, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, New Fairfield. There are no calling hours. The Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
