Obituary of Nancy Deeb

Nancy Deeb September 02, 1944 - May 07, 2010 Nancy (Rodney) Deeb, 65, of Danbury, beloved wife of the late Andrew Deeb, passed away peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Friday, May 7th after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Chestertown, MD on September 2, 1944, daughter of the late J. Lloyd and Helen (Christopher) Rodney. She was a graduate of Rock Hall High School. Nancy worked in coding and billing for Danbury Orthopedic Associates for the past 17 years, and previously for Danbury Hospital. She was a parishioner of St. Mary Church in Bethel and volunteered as a CCD Teacher there. She was an avid coin collector and member of the Danbury Coin Club. She especially loved to travel, go on cruises, and go shopping. She was happiest spending time with her family, and eating out at diners with her friends. She loved to feel the warmth of the sun, and shared her bright smile with all who knew and loved her. She will be sadly missed by her two cherished daughters Beverly Sporbeck and her husband, Steven of Danbury, and Sandra Jefferies and her husband, David of Warwick, MD; her three grandsons, Jeremy and Timothy Sporbeck, and David Jefferies, II. She is also survived by her brother, Jack Rodney of Kent Island, MD; her sister, Rebecca Rodney of Chestertown, MD; her fiancé, Donald Kingsbury; as well as many special family and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Nelson Rodney. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 11th at 10:00am at St. Mary Church, Bethel. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Monday evening between the hours of 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00pm.
