Marie A. Davis, 92 of Danbury, wife of the late Raymond H. Davis, Sr., died peacefully surrounded by her family at Danbury Hospital on March 22nd.
Mrs. Davis was born in Danbury on October 2, 1918, the youngest child to Otto and Katie (Berger) Knickmeyer.
She attended Danbury High School and for a while worked for the Hobson & Botts Co. and later in life worked for the Bard-Parker Corp., all the while being a homemaker.
Among her many pleasures was spending time with her grandchildren, taking trips with Gadabout Tours, being an avid reader and a long time member of the VFW.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her six children, Ethel Sweet (Allyn), Joan Sherwood (Jay) and Otto Davis, all of Danbury, Carol Swezey (Robert) of New Milford, Raymond Davis Jr. of Burlington, VT, Kenneth Davis (MaryKay) of Pfafftown, NC. and eight grandchildren. Funeral Information
Calling hours will be at the Cornell Funeral Home on Saturday, April 2 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a brief service to follow. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery immediately following the service. Donations Information
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church "Family Life Center".
