Obituary of Joan Cogswell

Joan Cogswell December 05, 1951 - February 02, 2004 Joan Cogswell, of Blakely, PA., formerly of Newtown, died on Monday, February 2nd at the age of 52. She was born in the Bronx, NY., on December 5, 1951, daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Reynolds) Cogswell. She was a graduate of Newtown High School, Class of 1970. Joan worked in the Credit Department at Ethan Allen for more than twenty-five years. She was a beloved sister and will be sadly missed by her family. Joan is survived by her siblings, Catherine Coer of PA., Elaine Cogswell of Blakely, PA, Charles A. Cogswell of Shelton, and Dorothy E. Cogswell of Newtown. She is also survived by three nieces, two great nieces and one great nephew. Her mother, Dorothy Cogswell, predeceased her on January 29th. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for both Joan and her mother, Dorothy, at St. Joseph Church, Danbury on Friday, February 6th at 10:00am. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield. The family will receive friends on Thursday between the hours of 5 and 8 pm at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury.
