Obituary of Rita Cherichella

Rita Cherichella April 25, 1920 - July 06, 2010 Rita Cherichella, 90, of Brookfield, wife of the late Dominick Cherichella, died at the Lutheran Home of Southbury on Tuesday, July 6th. She was born in Hoboken, NJ on April 25, 1920, daughter of the late Vincent and Margaret (Green) DeMayo. Rita worked in clothing manufacturing and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Rose Luizzi and her husband, Larry, with whom she made her home in Brookfield; her son, Richard Cherichella and his wife, Antoinette of NJ; her eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Audrey Cherichella of NJ; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph Cherichella. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 12th at 11:00am at Queen of Peace in North Arlington, NJ. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Sunday, July 11th between the hours of 3:00 and 6:00pm.
