Doris (Brown) Chappuis
June 15, 1917 - November 19, 2003
Doris (Brown) Chappuis of Church St., New Milford, wife of the late Augustus Chappuis, died on November 19, 2003 at The Kent at the age of 86. She was born on June 15, 1917, in Reading, PA, daughter of the late William and Marjorie Brown. She was a 30 year member of the New Milford community.
Mrs. Chappuis was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a homemaker and a talented seamstress. She enjoyed tending her flower garden, fishing, and feeding wild birds. She attended the Congregational Church of Brookfield.
She will be sadly missed by her sons, Douglas E. Chappuis of New Milford, and Bernard P. Chappuis of Danbury; her daughters, Frances M. Bishop of Virginia and Marie E. Romano of California. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three sisters, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Myron Chappuis. Funeral Information
