Obituary of Frank Raymond Cervera

Frank Raymond Cervera December 07, 1933 - October 05, 2004 Frank Raymond Cervera, of Karen Road, Danbury, husband of Harriet "Ricki" (Herrick) Cervera, died at Candlewood Valley Health Care Center, on Tuesday, October 5th, at the age of 70. He was born in Danbury on December 7, 1933, son of the late Frank and Rosario (Arbona) Cervera. He attended Henry Abbott Technical School. Mr. Cervera was a Veteran of the Korean War, having served with the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Willis A. Lee. He worked for Bardens in Danbury, IBM, and was Superintendent of Water Treatment Plants in both Danbury and Norwalk. He retired from Holcomb Fuel in Newtown as a Service Representative. He was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church in Danbury, and was a member of their choir. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America, serving as committee member for Troup 9 and was District Chairman for the Fairfield County Council. He coached football at Wooster School and Pop Warner in Danbury and was active in the YMCA Indian Guides. He served as Past President of the Connecticut Water Pollution Abatement Association and enjoyed membership in the Housatonic Valley Antique Auto Club. In addition to his wife of 50 years, Harriet, he is survived by his daughter Kimberly A. Pascuzzi of Danbury; his two grandchildren, Louis Anthony Pascuzzi, Jr., and Emma Anne Pascuzzi. He is also survived by two sisters, Josephine Lopes and her husband Oscar of New Fairfield, and Rose Parzuchowski of Bethel; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Raymond Cervera and his daughter, Lee Margaret Cervera; and a sister, Adora Cervera. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 9th at 10:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 8th at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, between the hours of 4 and 8:00pm.
