Obituary of Ann L. Burns

Ann L. Burns February 03, 1949 - August 03, 2011 Ann L. Burns Ann L. Burns, 62, of Southbury died at her home on Wednesday, August 3rd. She was born in Danbury on February 3, 1949. She was the loving daughter to the late Michael J. and Mary (Howley) Burns. Ann was in the first graduating class of Immaculate High School in 1966. She also attended the University of Bridgeport and finished her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury where she graduated Cum Laude. She was employed by Ethan Allen for many years and became the Vice President of Advertising. Ann then worked for Bartlett Tree Company, where again she reached the Vice President level of their company. She changed careers to become a nurse to be able to care for people. She will be missed by all. Ann will be missed by her son, David M. Robertson of Bristol; her two loving granddaughters, Kaylah and Theresa Robertson also of Bristol; three sisters, Maureen Burns Lockwood of Danbury, Sharon Burns of Torrington and Eileen Burns of Danbury; one brother, Brian Burns of PA. Ann is predeceased by two brothers, Michael and Shawn Burns. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday, August 10th at St. Mary Church, 24 Dodgintown Rd., Bethel Ct. Burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday, August 9th at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury.
