Obituary of Robert A. Waterman

Robert A. Waterman December 10, 1944 - September 22, 2004 Robert A. Waterman, 59, of Casanova, VA., formerly of Lake Terrace Drive, Danbury, devoted husband of Waltraut "Walli" (Spitko) Waterman, died unexpectedly as the result of an auto accident, on Wednesday, September 22nd in Warren. He was born in Manchester on December 10, 1944, son of the late Charles and Willa Waterman. Bob worked for Brown Printing, New York, NY., as a Printing Sales Executive for 30 years. He lived his life with enthusiasm, enjoying many activities, such as motorcycling, tennis and boating. He loved the water, the ocean, as well as boating on Candlewood Lake with his family and friends. He loved anything with a motor, from jet skis and snow mobiles to farm equipment. He was happiest with his family and friends. In addition to his wife, Walli, he is survived by his children, Robin Mattson and her husband, Kenneth of Virginia, Kim Stinson and her husband, Todd of Georgia, Austin Waterman and his wife, Karen of Danbury, and Elise Penn of California; his eight cherished grandchildren, Alexander, Jacob and Daniel Mattson, Ryan, Joshua, and Hannah Stinson, Lillian and Tyler Waterman. He is also survived by three sisters, Sharon Ward, Barbara Ramsey, and Susan Hutchens; his dear Aunt Marcia Stelzer; his mother-in-law, Margaret Patterson; in-laws, James and Helga Ruopp, Heidi & Ron Carlsen, and Ulli Lawrence; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Congregational Church of Brookfield, on Monday, September 27th at 10:00am. Cremation and interment will take place at a future date. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, September 26th between the hours of 2:00 to 6:00pm.
