Obituary of Julia B. Ward

Julia B. Ward February 17, 1929 - December 15, 2004 Julia B. Albritton Ward was born February 17, 1929 in Bethel, NC to the late Annie B. Albritton and Hugh Pitt. On December 15, 2004, God relieved her of her pain and suffering and took her home to rest. Julia attended public school in Parmelee NC and after leaving school married and moved to Danbury. Julia was a very good, kind, gracious, generous, loving person, one who cared deeply and loved dearly all of her relatives and friends. We will miss her warmth and loving ways. She touched whomever she came in contact with. She united in Holy matrimony to Merlin Lee Ward January 14, 1953, of Bethel NC. Merlin later preceded her in death. From this union 4 sons were born, of which 2 are deceased Norris Wesley Ward and Thomas Cecil Ward. This leaves to cherish very fond and loving memories 2 sons, Calvin Earl Ward, Danbury Ct. and Merlin Rodney Ward(Dawn) of Bethel Ct. 2 daughters, Tara Jackson Coleman of Waterbury, Ct and Tiffany Jackson of Waterbury. Deceased siblings, Sherman Albritton, Gloristene Best, William C. Albritton, Franklin Albritton, Gene Albritton, James E. Albritton, all preceded her in death. Surviving siblings, Raymond Albritton (Perry) of Rocky Mount, NC and Ida Ruth Briggs(John) of Durham, NC, 9 other grand children, Jacqueline Ward, Calvin E. Ward, Jr., Taniqua Scott, Janiqua Scott, Terrick McCall, Passion Ward, Vanessa Bennett, Davonna Cruse and Shyreese Cruse, and a very dear friend Phyllis Braden, in addition she leaves also sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, neices, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Mt. Pleasant AME Zion Church, 69 Rowan Street, Danbury, on Tuesday, December 21st at 11:00am. The Rev. Mark J. Roderick, Sr. will officiate. Burial in Wooster Cemetery will follow The family will receive friends at the AME Zion Church on Tuesday morning, between the hours of 10:00am and 11:00am.
