Obituary of Kay E Tucker

Kay E Tucker March 21, 1937 - March 17, 2013 Kay was born March 21st 1937 in Stamford, CT. She gave inspiration to all she knew, had unconditional love for every life she touched and was a woman with great substance and always independent with strong morals & dignity. Kay loved nature, flowers, gardening, wild life, birds, domestic animals as well as wild animals. She made sure she took time to care for all living things, family, friends, and her love for anyone or anything that needed her tender loving care. Kay owned an antique shop on Rte 7 and Old State Rd. in New Milford for 30 yrs. the shop originally named Katherines Antique Mart. The name was changed 2 1/2 yrs ago to Junk and Jems. Kay was married twice in her life the first marriage to William Wahl Sr. in which together they had 2 children; Dawn Elizabeth and William Jacob Wahl. Her second love and husband she leaves behind is H. Thomas Tucker. Tom was a strong positive influence within our family. He was there for mom and stood by her side through her courageous battle. Kay leaves behind her daughter; Dawn and husband Steven Winston, a son; William and his wife Susan, 3 grandchildren; Adam Winston, Austin Wahl, and Kyle Wahl, 2 stepsons; Richard Tucker and his wife Andrea, Peter Tucker and his wife Sherry, a niece and nephew; Rod Owens and Beth DeSantis. She is predeceased by a sister; Paula "Melody" Tartar. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to The Visiting Nurses Association, The Danbury Cancer Center, as well as the Danbury Hospice for there excellent and loving care that was given to KayWe will miss and cherish Kay forever and she'll be in our hearts and soul until we meet our maker and reunite again. Her spirit will live on within us. Funeral Information A Gathering of friends may be held on March 24, 2013 Sunday from 4 to 6 pm. A Service will be held at 5:30pm at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Rd., Brookfield, CT 06804. Interment will be private. Donations Information In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Animal Welfare Society, 8 Dodd Rd., New Milford, CT 06776
