Obituary of Joseph Anthony Tomanio

Joseph Anthony Tomanio February 28, 1910 - August 07, 2004 Joseph A. Tomanio, formerly of Franklin Street, Danbury, died at his home in Bethel, on Sunday, August 7, 2004. He was born in Danbury on February 28, 1910, son of the late Bernard and Palma (Gallo) Tomanio. He was a graduate of Danbury High School. Mr. Tomanio was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army. He worked as a jeweler for Addessi Jewelry Store in Danbury for many years. He attended St. Joseph Church for most of his life. He was a member of the Musician Union in Danbury and enjoyed playing his saxophone in local clubs. He is survived by his nieces, Dorothy Conciatore and her husband, Sal of New Fairfield, and Mary Lou Cuff of Danbury; his nephew, Caspio Caprio and his wife, Carole of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. as well as several grand nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 11th at 10:00am, at St. Gregory the Great Church, Danbury. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery will follow. Friends may call on Tuesday, August 10th between the hours of 6 and 8:00pm at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury.
