Angelina (Pane) Tomaino, age 80, of Danbury died on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Danbury Hospital. She was the devoted wife of Joseph Tomaino for 52 years.
Angelina(Gina) Tomaino was born on May 14th 1930 in Decollatura Italy, daughter of the late Francesco and Raffelina Pane.
Gina was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished spending time with her family and friends. She was well known for her traditional Italian cooking and took great pleasure in serving her many favorite dishes to anyone who stopped by for a visit. Sharing a cup of espresso with loved ones was all she ever needed to bring a smile to her face.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren which were the love of her life. The grandchildren always loved going to Nonna's house because her motto always was "No Rules".
Beside her loving husband, Joseph, she is survived by two sons: Pasquale Tomaino and his wife Lynn of Bethel; Frank Tomaino and his wife Carrieann of Danbury; a daughter: Maria Parille and her husband John of New Fairfield; and seven grandchildren: Justin Tomaino, Joseph Tomaino, Michael Tomaino, Amanda, Sara, Kristi and Rachel Parille. She was predeceased by her brother, Francesco Pane.
Gina was a member of St. Joseph Parish. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial at St. Peter Cemetery will follow. There are no calling hours. The Cornell Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements. Donations Information
