John H. Senior

John H. "Jack" Senior, 75, of Danbury, beloved husband of Dorothea "Thea" (Surovy) Senior, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 26th. He was born in Danbury on August 8, 1935, son of the late John and Laura (Frede) Senior. He was a graduate of Danbury High School and Henry Abbott Technical School.
Jack was a Veteran of the Korean War serving with the United States Marine Corps. and was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of the Danbury Drum Corps from 1959 - 1963.
Jack worked for Perkin Elmer and Barden Corp for a brief time and retired as a Machine Design Engineer from Amphenol after 36 years. A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, he loved to travel, was an avid reader, and enjoyed coin and stamp collecting.
In addition to his cherished wife of 51 years, Thea, he will be sadly missed by his son, John Senior and his wife, Sheryl of Cheshire; his two daughters, Laura McGoff and her husband, Michael of Winchester, MA, and Linda Senior of Danbury; and his seven grandchildren, Sydney, Spencer, Tyler, Kera, Taylor, Brendan, and Cullen.
He was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Grandieri. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 1st at 11:00am at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00pm. Donations Information
Memorial Contributions in his memory may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, or to Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut.
