Josephine Pisco
February 05, 1940 - February 20, 2004
Josephine "Jo-Jo" Pisco, 64, of Meadow Brook Vista, Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital on Friday, February 20th after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Wildwood, New Jersey, on February 5, 1940, daughter of the late Joseph, Sr. and Angelina (Orsino) Pisco. She was a graduate of Danbury High School and made her home in the community for most of her life.
Jo-Jo worked as a bartender for Park Avenue West, Danbury and attended St. Peter Church, Danbury. She enjoyed many happy times with her family, playing cards, Bingo, and her many friends.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Robin J. Zigray of Danbury, Renee J. Zigray of Terryville, and Kellie A. St. Pierre and her husband, Marcel, of Danbury; her cherished grandchildren, William Smeriglio, Jr., Adam R. Hicks Sr. and his wife, Filicia, Osvaldo Rivera, Java A. Zigray, and Michael P. Demo, USMC; and 7 great grandchildren. She is survived by her three sisters, Arlene Blunt and her husband, Peter, Angelina Ruggiero and her husband, Richard, all of Danbury, and Joann Cormier and her husband, Roland of Indiana; a brother, Joseph Pisco, Jr. of New York; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her companion of 23 years, Jose Lopez. She was predeceased by two sisters, Deanna Delguidice and Palma Smith. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 24th at St. Peter Church, Danbury, at 10:00am. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, February 23rd between the hours of 5 and 8pm. Donations Information
